Sea of Thieves Hungering Deep Update to Add Drums, Tattoos, and Flags

With little time left in 2018, Rare is already preparing for next year, beginning with a new PVP mode called The Arena . There is no release date as of yet, but players should expect it to launch early in 2019. According to Polygon , The Arena is not a Battle Royale mode, although the strategy game Cheats|https://strategyreviewer.com/ mode will allow players to compete with one another quickly. The Arena will pit gamers against one another in a search for treasure. The new PVP mode will include a new tavern and a new trading company, The Sea Dogs, who will face off against the players as w

One of the new Bilge Rat Adventures is the Sunken Curse. And before it was released, Rare made sure to hype it as a brand new activity that will make us go deeper into the open waters and explore what’s beneath the choppy surface of the sea. Naturally, everyone thought that a new enemy, maybe some sort of merpeople, were going to make an appearance. Unfortunately, it turned out that it was just some statues that we had to beat into submission. Sure, a big update came very soon after this Bilge Rats Adventure, but in my opinion, the Sunken Curse was just lazy, if anyth

Elsewhere in the DLC, there’s going to be a new month-long campaign centered around this new area, with new Cargo Run quests at the Merchant’s Alliance (alongside lots of other things, changing on a week-by-week basis). Think of them as Monster Hunter ’s egg-carrying quests, only with a whole lot more oc

Rare then is shown to care deeply about bringing Banjo-Kazooie into Sea of Thieves in assorted ways. Rare's shown to have Banjo-Kazooie rewards in the works. And Rare has the opportunity to start a Banjo-Kazooie event in Sea of Thieves for the 20th anniversary if it so chooses. The stars could be align

Various members of the development team at Rare Ltd. recently took to Reddit for an AMA (ask me anything) related to everything and anything dealing with Sea of Thieves . There were dozens upon dozens of different questions answered in the thread, but these are some of the more interesting nuggets of info that we fo

I’ve played plenty of Sea of Thieves and never have I met a single cheater. When it comes to Rare’s pirate title, cheaters are those elusive mythical beasts that we have all heard of, but no one has ever met. Sure, Rare did acknowledge that some people did manage to cheat at some point, but they were swiftly dealt with and this will continue to be the case in the future. Rare, just like Microsoft, do not take lightly to people exploiting their software, so quick and harsh bans are their answer to any cheating they manage to detect. Thankfully, this means that Sea of Thieves is quite clean of such nasty and disgraceful a

Rare is preparing for the quickly approaching release of Sea of Thieves ' first major content update, The Hungering Deep , by tantalizing players with a tease of all the new content. The official webpage for The Hungering Deep is now live, filled with exciting content revels for the forthcoming update like customizable flags, customizable scars and tattoos, and the introduction of an all-new instrument, the d

Tattoos & Scars - Up until now player character tattoos and scars were assigned and unchangeable after character creation. Players will now be able to purchase and customize their pirate's fleshy accessories as they ple

The final clue, the one bit of info that makes all of Sea of Thieves ' cave paintings and Easter eggs seem like something more, is a piece of concept art Rare showed a while back during a comic convention. It's for a figurehead, as-yet-unreleased in Sea of Thieves , featuring none other than a large bear holding a shield adorned with a red b

Now, the reason why Rare staff is putting in that extra effort (or at least one of the many, many reasons) is that we have all paid a fixed price for the game and we expect some support in return. However, the landscape is soon about to change, as microtransactions will soon be introduced. Of course, they will not alter the gameplay in any way and the only confirmed items for the real-money store are cosmetic pets, so we are not about to get a pay-to-win title. And yet, I can’t help but wonder how that will affect the community, despite it being the only sensible way to pay for the server maintena

The pirated themed co-op was released this past March to mixed reviews. Critics praised the open-world gameplay but found there was too little content to keep players engaged . In response, the developer started churning out new content. Rare began sending out a stream of weekly patches as well as releasing several free expansion packs in order to keep gameplay interesting. The first three updates, The Hungering Deep , Cursed Sails , and Forsaken Shores unveiled a mixture of permanent and time-limited content. Gamers got fog, a volcano, and a megalodon battle added to a world already populated with treasure hunts and fights with angry skeletons. A fourth expansion pack, Shrouded Spoils is set to release later this mo600
