10 Unintentionally Hilarious Things About Red Dead Redemption 2

10 Unintentionally Hilarious Things About Red Dead Redemption 2

The sequel shows a somewhat different character. In the crossroads of an existential dilemma, Dutch must choose between changing his entire identity to save his band of followers or fall victim to his own fallacies and authoritative attitude. Dutch is one of the most conflicted characters in the entire series, struggling with his devotion to living free while still chasing a life of everlasting peace for his gang. He truly believes in himself, as much as his followers do, which drives him into the very state of insanity we find him in during the origi

Look, I get it. GTA Online is a milestone in online multiplayer gaming. It gives you unparalleled action, an incredible amount of game types, and the creative freedom to come up with some pretty spectacular moments of gameplay. It has been running strong for nearly six years now, and new content is still being added all of the time. Despite all of this, online gameplay is not Rockstar 's best s

The dialogue in this game is top notch, even when juxtaposed with prior Rockstar Games projects. The characters feel like real people and less like larger-than-life cartoons from titles like GTA V . With that being said, several phrases are repeated several times too many, to the point where they start sticking out. Arthur and Dutch like saying "bad business" in reference to deals or any meeting they find fishy. It's almost like the catchphrase for the entire g

Arthur can really get some impressive hang time if he's going fast enough. It also happens on some relatively small bumps. The less feasible, the better. The outlaw has been through far worse however, and simply dusts himself off from the traumatic head injury and goes on his merry

In Grand Theft Auto , one could catapult themselves through a car windshield if they crashed in the right way, serving as a public service announcement on the importance of seat belts. Unsuspecting horse riders in RDR2 found themselves jettisoning off their steeds if they ran into a fence or tree too f

Heralded as one of the best video game stories of all time, Red Dead Redemption 2 takes you down a path of hardship, one that is unrelenting and pockmarked with violence. While your choices in the game may amount to nothing more than a morality meter, this doesn't quite affect the overall playthrough. And, with a variety of stranger missions and side quests to follow, there's still nothing more memorable than the experiences bequeathed in the original. One of the most fascinating mechanics in Red Dead Redemption 2 are random events, wherein the player can choose to assist an ailing passerby or ignore them. This, however, becomes a consistent nuisance as you travel throughout the wide-open sandbox. It's almost as if the game itself is trying to pry you away from your own experience at every t

Although GTA Online has been wildly successful, the same can't be said for its uglier, younger stepbrother, Red Dead Online . Although the online platform has moved on from a few of its growing pains, it clearly can't measure up to the undeniable success of its counterpart. Most of this is certainly due to the time period in which the Red Dead Redemption series __ takes place. The fact of the matter is, rocket launchers, airplanes, and sports cars provide for much more entertainment than Civil-War-era guns, horses, and fishing. With the wide range of vehicles and weapons at its disposal, it's no wonder why Rockstar's online layout works far better in the world of Grand Theft Auto . Despite that, Rockstar is giving it all of their effort to make Red Dead Online work. Effort that could quite possibly be put to better use if it were to be refocused on a DLC project that touched on the back stories of characters like Charles Smith, and Sean MacGuire, or better yet, Undead Nightmare 2 , a would-be sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption's near perfect zombie-based story

In Red Dead Redemption , the Elegant Suit is possibly the most iconic look in the entire Game Expansions, and it is something people will be very familiar with as it is needed in order for you to 100% complete the g

The suit is something that everyone is well aware of, but interestingly, the game originally was going to have this iconic piece of clothing look much different, with the hat not being part of it. While it wouldn't have made any real difference to the game, it's still interesting to know that it almost wasn't considered at

Ever since playing the original Red Dead Redemption , one of my favorite characters across all forms of media has been Dutch Van der Linde. Struggling with demons from the past, fighting to live as an outlaw on the run, believing in himself as much as his followers, Dutch is a complex and complicated individual trying to survive in a world that has drastically changed around him. Much of what he represents and struggles with across both stories ironically reflects exactly what is wrong with the sequel game. Having waited almost ten years for a new, more beautiful Rockstar iteration, I could not wait to dive into Red Dead Redemption
