Now onto the new crates themselves. Here is a look (up top and below) at some of the items available in the 2 free-to-open crates. There's an additional one only available during Gamescom that requires the purchase of a $2.50 key to o

Currently referred to as the R45, the new revolver is a six-shot, desert map replacement for the R1895, chambered for .45 ACP ammo. Unlike the R1895 it replaces, the R45 will not support a suppressor, though you will be able to add a red dot sight to improve your aim. And another differentiation from the R1895 is the use of speed loaders, enabling you to load all six rounds simultaneously, greatly accelerating reload times, putting the R45's reload speed more in line with other PUBG pist

Engaging in a close-range battle is much easier to grasp. Simply put, adopting a spray and pray attitude can grant players some easy kills due to the full-auto and burst features on most assault rifles. Even without a proper sight attached to the gun players can fire from the hip and effectively take out a pesky enemy in no time. However, doing so can be a waste of precious ammunition and a death sentence for late-game fights. So good advice would be to always have a close to mid-range sight on your weapon to utilize in case an enemy manages to sneak up on you. And try your best to use positional advantage and aiming down your sight to take out the enemy more effectively. This will save players from using up all their ammo and provide a better loadout for late-game fig

On top of having powerful weaponry, understanding which sites to use is another important concept to comprehend. Ideally, your long-range weapon would have one of the many long-range oriented scopes in the game. Likewise, your close-ranged weapon should have a red dot sight or a holographic sight in order to improve accuracy in tight firefights. But with the wide array of sites, how does one decide which sites are their ideal and optimal choices? That decision must be made by the player. There exists a wide range of preferences in PUBG so practice is essential to discover and become comfortable with all the different sites found in a

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds ' crate and key system isn't supposed to come until the game launches in full but of course, money talks so it's coming NOW. According to Greene and the devs, it's for testing but they're selling items already for real cash so take that for what you will. The goal is to provide a "healthy economy" after launch to keep monetizing the player base for future updates and content additions (like the two in-development maps). All the items are cosmetic only and should not affect gameplay. Still, microtransactions during early access are tough to swallow, especially for a game that's selling so well right now. The other concern is that because the in-game cosmetics count as Steam inventory items, players can sell for real-world cash which can lead to skin gambling/market issues like CS:GO had to deal with recen

In a May 2017 interview with PCGamesN , Brendan Greene, the man behind the "PlayerUnknown" handle, discussed his initial inspiration for the mod. "I’d seen what Survivor GameZ did with DayZ," Greene said. "[…] It was a great event but I couldn’t play in it because I wasn’t a streamer. I thought: ‘Well, I want to do this. I want to play this’. I had a DayZ mod server that I had scripted lots of stuff into and decided I wanted to make a mod. I just thought, ‘Right, let’s try and make a battle royale mod’, and the genre was born." In its initial form, PlayerUnknown’s Battle Royale pitted 25 players against one another in a shared starting area with a cornucopia of gear lying before them. Once the countdown reached zero, the race for life and loot was on! Fun fact: one of the most iconic mechanics of the mod and its successors, the constantly shrinking circle, arose due to Greene’s skill-level as a programmer. "krafton the bird that drinks tears ever decreasing circle – I couldn’t program squares like it is in the Battle Royale movie," Greene told Rock, Paper, Shotgun in a July 2017 interview . "The code for doing squares that shrink, I just couldn’t do it because I wasn’t a very good coder, right? So I [changed] it to an ever-decreasing circle that sort of moved around inside itself, because that’s how I could do it."
