Bethesda Promises Elder Scrolls 6 & Starfield Are Still Top Priorities

While Starfield is still likely years from the release, players recently were treated to a few leaked screenshots allegedly taken from a 2018 build. Although rather spare, these images showed third-person gameplay of an player-controlled astronaut and a piece of concept art depicting a futuristic, hyper-detailed ship render with color. A neat part of the leak were the HUD icons in the gameplay screenshot, one of which showed the remaining amount of O2 in the player character’s oxygen tank, pointing to a major survival element that could make it into the final game. Interestingly, it may be this leak and the huge interest it generated that's obligated Bethesda to share some new official information about the ti

To refresh your memory, Starfield was given a brief teaser trailer. It showed space, a planet, and a satellite before revealing the logo. Todd Howard, the Bethesda director who delivered the announcement, said "We have also been working on a brand new, next-generation, single-player game, but this one is in an all-new epic franchi

That future might be very far off, but Howard has apparently been contemplating Starfield for a very long time. He mentioned to Eurogamer that Bethesda began putting together a team after Fallout 4 's launch. Which was in late 2015. However, the initial ideas were born as far back as 2

Even though there's still plenty to learn about Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI , Bethesda has plenty of time to divulge that information. Hopefully, the coming months are years start to shed more light on each project and their potential arrival da

An open world first-person shooter in the same vein as the ever-popular Fallout series, Starfield character builds|https://starfieldgalaxy.com/ is thought to exist in the same universe as radroaches and Pip-Boy, but takes the premise up into the cosmos. For the first time ever, the series could move away from the apocalyptic wasteland of the Commonwealth or New Vegas and head even further into the future. Given Fallout 's already dystopian tone, it would be amazing to see where Bethesda's imagination could go in sp

That being said, Howard warns that it is still going to be a while until Starfield is finally treated to a proper public (or even private) demonstration. Moreover, the game doesn’t have a solid release date (as it's subject to change), so the team will only show off the space-bound RPG once Bethesda feels confident enough in it. This goes in line with a previous statement by Pete Hines, who said that the community would have to wait a while for a detailed reveal. Hines mentioned that Starfield would be worth the exhausting wait , though, which isn’t hard to believe considering the amount of work reportedly being put into the development of the ti

Bethesda has confirmed that it is fully focused on the development of both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI . Replying to fan concerns on Twitter about the fact that Todd Howard is involved with too many projects, Bethesda Senior VP of Marketing Pete Hines reassured them that those two titles are still his main priority. Howard, who has helped to lead both the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series for more than a decade, also has roles in several other projects according to Hines. But both he and Bethesda as a whole are committed to finishing up work on the two high-profile games. The communications executive promised that recent announcements will not affect the development of either g

Bethesda's Starfield was the most exciting E3 announcement no one talked about. To be fair, Bethesda delivered a lot of chat-worthy things at its E3 presentation. Fallout 76 made headlines for taking the series in an MMO direction. A new Elder Scrolls game was finally announced. And Keegan-Michael Key even showed up in a hilarious reference to the Skyrim meme. With all of those amazing things, the news that Bethesda is creating an entirely new, next-gen IP sort of slipped under the radar. Well now its time to learn more about Starfie

In a recent discussion with Gamespot at PAX Australia, Bethesda's VP of Marketing Pete Hines spoke a bit more about both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI and explained why they decided to announce both games so far in advance. Hines acknowledged that while it would have likely been better to continue going down this route of announcing games only shortly before they're ready, he said that the aim with these two reveals was to be transparent to their f

Of course, it is not just the fact that Bethesda has announced it is working on licensed titled in mainstream franchises like Indiana Jones that worries gamers. There has been very little news about either Starfield or The Elder Scrolls 6 for some time. In fact, fans have had to make do with cryptic Tweets about the follow-up to Skyrim in the absence of concrete information. Meanwhile, Starfield has also been notably missing from major gaming events in recent times, but Todd Howard did confirm that it would be the studio's biggest game to d
