League of Legends Champion Guide: Garen (The Might of Demacia)

Some good optional items for Garen include those items which further reduce cooldown, improve armor or magic resistance, increase health, increase armor penetration, and boost movement speed. Death's Dance provides all of the above except movement speed but instead provides an extra heal and 30% damage delay. Duskblade of Draktharr is also a great optional item for Garen that gives cooldown reduction and extra armor penetration. Duskblade of Draktharr's passive, Nightstalker, can be paired with a Decisive Strike from the shadows to deal massive basic attack damage. It is also important to note that building items that increase movement speed can sometimes provide greater attack damage than just purchasing a straightforward attack damage item. This is because the extra movement speed will allow Garen to chase his foes and stay on top of them longer to get more hits

W: Spirit Cleave - Yonecleaves forward in a massive arc dealing a portion of the target's maximum health. After successfully hitting an enemy Yone also gains a temporary shield. The shield's power increases per champion str

Yone's most complex ability, though it is still relatively simple in practice. Yone splits his body into two, and players then control Yone's Spirit Form. Players deal and receive damage normally, and any damage done while in Spirit Form will mark enemies. Once the ability ends, the player instantly blinks back to Yone's body, and marked enemies will be dealt a portion of the damage they received from Yone's Spirit Form. This ability allows players to stick to an enemy and finish off kills with little risk to them. While there is still the risk of dying while in Spirit Form, a player can push deep into enemy lines to secure a kill and still guarantee an escape back to where they began - just make sure Yone's body is tucked away in a safe spot! This ability also looks fantastic with Yone's Spirit Blossom skin , which he will receive on rele

Nexus Blitz was an experimental MOBA game strategy mode released during the summer of 2018 for several weeks and then briefly revived during the spring of 2019. Although Nexus Blitz was a favorite because of its short match length, data showed that playtime for the game mode dropped heavily by the end and Riot Games made the decision to pull the m

This is a frustrating champion to rework because, in theory, his kit is amazing. He has a silence, a knock-up, the capacity to get absolutely huge and unkillable, and he has the best skin in the game: Gentleman Cho’G

His capacity to outplay at higher ranks is severely limited as his kit necessitates repetition — especially in a meta where popular champions like Athelios, Sett, and Graves (to name a few) can be very malleable and situatio

Whether players only want to try Nexus Blitz once or intend to spend the next month queuing up for as many matches as possible, the game mode is certainly quick and a different take on League of Legends . But in the end, its player retention during Spirit Blossom 2020 will ultimately determine if Nexus Blitz returns sooner or goes away for a much longer time ag

Yone's Q is also remarkably similar to that of his brother Yasuo. This ability, like Yasuo's "Steel Tempest," is a straight-line skillshot that deals instant damage based on Yone's attack damage and functions much like a buffed up auto-attack. The differences between the two character's abilities lie in the third consecutive strikes. Unlike Yasuo, Yone's third use of his Q is a knock-up attached to a dash. This means that Yone's ability to chase enemies down is much more reliable than his counterpart. An additional bonus is that Yone can freely dash over walls to chase or escape from an en

For emerging victorious in an event, all members of the winning team are granted a temporary or permanent buff. Depending on the prize, it's either a small benefit or one that drastically tilts the game in that team's fa

But in the new meta of every League of Legends champion has mobility, tick or on-hit damage, and an array of crowd control effects, Cho’Gath’s immobility is a bridge too far for most players. He’s on Riot’s list of champions to rework, so maybe players will see one for him in 2

Furthermore, champions will automatically get gold by being near minion or monster kills. Finally, getting 4 kills without dying grants the ON FIRE! buff which gives increased attack speed, AD, AP, CDR, and resource regeneration but slightly increases damage taken while reducing shielding and healing. If someone gets ON FIRE!, the match will surely end soon unless they are stop

Players will recognize both components of Yone's passive, as they can be seen in practice with Sett and Yasuo. Sett shares the capability to deal increased damage on every second hit of his auto attacks, and Yasuo also has doubled crit-chance. This should make Yone's hybrid passive feel very familiar to players who have frequented both of his predecess
