Zephyr Prime: Warframe's Well Rounded Killing Machine

warframe_conceptart_fxvKb.jpgPyrana Prime is arguably one of the best sidearms in the game. If there’s a good combo out there, it has to be a short ranged weapon, such as the Tigris shotgun, alongside an automatic rifle or submachine gun, such as the Akstiletto. That combo in particular worked amazing for myself, until I recently switched to the Supra Vandal assault rifle, which makes the Pyrana Prime the perfect sidearm. Not only does it have a widespread of so many pellets, but it’s essentially an automatic, as holding down the left mouse button will blow through a horde of enemies in a matter of seconds. Like the many other Prime weapons, there are some advantages and disadvantages when compared to its standard version. The biggest, and really only two disadvantages to the Pyrana Prime is that it deals less damage and has a slower fire rate. This is fortunately made up with a higher accuracy, crit chance/multiplier, magazine size, and status chance. In addition, the reload speed is 20% quicker and most importantly, the damage fallout is much wider, with a larger spread. It also comes in the all too familiar black and white color scheme, along with the gold trim. When using an assault rifle, this immediately gets assigned to the secondary slot.

Some of the most popular video games today are free-to-play. Games like Dota 2 and Paladins are exploding in popularity because of their ease of access. Anyone can jump into a free-to-play game with their friends, which is convenient because a significant number of free-to-play games are cross-platform enabled. These are 10 free-to-play Steam games to try

Finally, Super Mutant Alien Assault and Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion are arriving as freebies for PlayStation Vita owners. The first game is a single-player experience that tasks users with saving the human race in a side-scrolling platformer/shooter. Fallen Legion , on the other hand, is a Cross Buy game that PlayStation 4 owners can also download and enjoy. The title is an RPG, allowing users to explore a brand new world where decisions are said to impact the in-game lives of everyone around t

These games will appeal to new PlayStation 4 owners that only just got their consoles during the holiday season, although the range of software isn't as appealing as November 2018's PlayStation Plus offering. Sony also wants Warframe Mods fans to know that they can secure the Warframe: PlayStation Plus Booster Pack III until January 15, 2019. This comes with 100 Platinum, 100,000 Credits, Quanta (a Corpus laser rifle), Quanta Obsidian Skin, 7-Day Affinity Booster, and a 7-Day Credit Booster to add further value to the PlayStation Plus members

In an interview belonging to the Noclip documentary series by Daniel O'Dwyer, Digital Extremes Studio Manager Sheldon Carter detailed an unexpected result that occurred when the developer introduced a small microtransaction for Kubrows, an in-game virtual pet. The studio had implemented what Carter defines as a "slot machine lever" that allowed gamers - for the price of about $0.67 - to randomize the fur pattern and fur color of their pet Kubrow. While it was only a cosmetic feature, the idea of putting something so random behind a paygate drew the ire of many of the game's fans. Still, Digital Extremes went forward with the idea - until one fan spent well over $100 on it almost immediat

When Carter and the rest of the development staff looked at the ~$137 purchase history of a man who really, really wanted to find the perfect fur pattern for his in-game pet, they realized they had essentially created a slot machine that impulsive players would gamble away significant amounts of money on. While many studios would consider this a big win, Digital Extremes made the decision that this kind of activity wasn't healthy for the playerbase in the long run. As Carter explained, it wasn't long before the 'gambling fur randomizer' was removed from the game entir

Steep is the highlight of January 2019's PlayStation Plus games, partially because it ties into the winter season so well. Developed by Ubisoft, this is a fun snowboarding romp that allows players to carve up the slopes and even take to the skies with a wingsuit. It makes for a fun addition to anyone's PlayStation 4 libra

Like every Prime update, there comes not only an enhanced Warframe, but a side of new weapons, and this update is a doozy. Alongside the agile Limbo comes the devastating Pyrana Prime, which packs one heck of a punch in a small package, and Destreza Prime, allowing for nimbler battles.

Microtransactions have been an increasingly touchy subject for gamers in the last few years, especially since Star Wars Battlefront 2 found itself in the spotlight after DICE pushed consumers too far. Game developers have been hard-pressed to find innovative ways to increase revenue earned from titles, but today's story is something else entirely: the developer of Warframe removed a microtransaction because it proved too successful. While some studios purposefully target high-spending gamers (who hold the industry nickname of "whales"), one man's click-happy purchase binge changed the philosophy of the Warframe crew fore
