Apex Legends: Character Guide to Every Playable Legend

Apex Legends: Character Guide to Every Playable Legend

What can I say? I'm a sucker for Pokemon . The jump to the Switch wasn't without its faults, yet I found myself enjoying every second of my time with the game. The Wild Area brings thrilling new content to the Galar region, the dialog is witty/corny, and the battles strike the sweet spot of being too easy and aggravatingly difficult. Many games might be more technically advanced, or tell a better story, but there isn't a game this year I enjoyed more than the latest Pokemon advent

Technically now the "third" version of what is perhaps the perfect game, the Resident Evil 2 remake updates a classic and shows developers that narrative-driven content can succeed without the need for multiplayer and microtransacti

The combat here is solid enough, the art style is distinct and charming, and the writing presented here has a great sense of humor. Plenty of laughs from the game's absurd plot and satisfying combat are what players can expect when they try Deathspa

It dawned on me only recently that the two characters with which I have the most wins — Lifeline and Wattson — are upbeat, helpful characters. Though unconscious, my choice to play these characters seems to be a reflection of how I see myself. Regardless of whether this is true for every Apex assault legends rework player, it reinforces the value of developing characters that represent diverse backgrounds and worldvi

That said, they haven't exactly excelled with that role in the long run. They can be useful in the very early game, as they do increase the damage done to unshielded opponents. But even with this upgrade, both the Mozambique and P2020 firmly remain the most maligned weapons in the game. Back to the drawing board with this

Respawn's done really well when it comes to rolling out awesome new characters to choose from, so hopes here are pretty high. Leaks and rumors abound, with one potential candidate being "Revenant," who might actually be the spooky game master of the Halloween Shadowfall event. Other possibilities include " Reckoner, " with an interesting set of shield-stealing and damaging abilities, and a mysterious newcomer referred to as "Lo

But as of yet, any permanent additions to Apex's selection of game modes continue to elude implementation, beyond the Ranked Leagues introduced during season two. Needless to say, there are quite a few fans that would be overjoyed to see either solos or duos make the ros

While I loved playing every game in my top five, I put Control at number one because of the way it grabbed my attention and held it in a way that the other four just couldn’t. It was creepy and bizarre in all the right, unique ways. I’d obviously never want to actually venture into the Oldest House for real, but Control made it a joy to explore with its unsettlingly intriguing twists and tu

Even after being nerfed, the Charge Rifle is easily one of the strongest and often abused weapons in the game right now. We don't necessarily want to leave it behind entirely, but given the way most players seem to regard it at the moment, it still clearly needs some balanc

How could it be anything other than Slay The Spire (I say, knowing full well I almost put Tetris 99 in this spot)? After initial frustration, Slay The Spire's various baddies are like old friends now - they're familiar, I've learned their rhythms. The cards and relics aren't mysteries to me anymore. Its delightful weirdness is old hat. And yet I find myself returning to it time and time again because it's just so clever, and it makes me feel clever - when I pay attention to it, when I'm not zoning out and just enjoying the jour

Fire Emblem had been spinning its wheels for a long time before the release of Three Houses . Who could have guessed that the latest Fire Emblem game would be one of the most absorbing games of the year, with an interesting overarching story and an incredible battle system that is engaging without being watered down or too difficult to grasp. It can be hard to finish a game once, but Fire Emblem: Three Houses can easily convince players to go through it three times to see the whole story. It’s just a shame that you can’t pet the dog

Gone are the days (for now) of trapping teams inside Bunker with Caustic traps. The open areas make Caustic’s speed an issue for teams, and the large buildings have enough escape routes to mitigate his effectiven

Planet Zoo is one of the most advanced simulation games I've ever played. While it isn't perfect, it's pretty close and is paving the way for the sim genre. There is a depth we’ve never seen in both graphics and gameplay, which allows players to feel truly connected to the world they are building. Planet Zoo will take you into your environment in a brand new way, all while raising awareness of important issues through an engaging and enjoyable g

This is more than slightly puzzling considering the Ranked Leagues mode exists for the purpose of highly competitive & skill-based play, and there's been no shortage of fan pushback since its implementat
