DecemberFortnite Has A Crossover Problem (But Can Fix It)
Another way lightsabers could be included in the game is by adding a customizable one players can make with the battle pass. Fortnite has recently implemented customizable items into its battle passes, allowing players to unlock new styles and parts for their glider, skin, or harvesting tool. The battle pass would be a great way for players to build their own lightsaber, choosing their own color, hilts, and even ignite animation. This could be in the same spirit as Fortnite 's current season's Omni Sword item, which is also a customizable harvesting t
Especially interesting about these mechanics is that, in a Fortnite without building, they force the players to essentially learn new ways to cross the map in order to adapt. A Fortnite match at the beginning of this season will look much different than a match contested at the end of last season. The game has changed very quickly, and it will foster new strategies and tactics. A game that evolves is a healthy game, and this season is going to bring a lot of changes to Fortnite 's m
With the recent addition of an unlockable Doctor Strange in Fortnite , it appears that the comic book crossovers in the game aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Since many of Marvel and DC's most popular characters are either already in the game or just plain don't work as a playable skin, it's time that Epic Games should look to some of the more underused comic book heroes, anti-heroes, and villains who would fit right into the game. Doing so could not only give Fortnite players an interesting surprise but could also convince hardcore fans of the characters to try Fortnite out, especially since their favorite character is rarely playable in anything e
With The Mandalorian and the upcoming Kenobi on Disney+, Star Wars is showing no signs of slowing down even without the release of a new film in two years. Following the release of Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, Fortnite has included big-name characters from the Disney+ TV shows like Boba Fett and the Mandalorian as skins and even bosses to fight against on the island. It would make sense for Epic to plan something huge for the release of the highly anticipated Kenobi ser
Although it might be fun to play as favorite characters like Batman or Captain America in Fortnite , the fact of the matter is that the game has too many crossovers. They're excessive, and don't add much aside from cosmetic appeal. Although it's understandable, it's still far too much. It's gotten to the point of ridiculousness, but there are ways that it can mitigate the problem. There's not much that can be done about the crossovers already in the game, so cutting back on future ones seems like the best option. Unlocking Dr. Strange in Fortnite might be exciting, but it could be best if the game slowed down on the crossovers so it can let its original content sh
There was no surprise that Din Djarin would eventually arrive alongside Grogu due to his Disney+ show's popularity among Star Wars fans , and gamers were excited to claim his weapon. Mando's sniper differed from other snipers, as it had a unique thermal vision reminiscent of Star Wars ' futuristic yet ancient technology, giving fans the true Mandalorian experience. Furthermore, the Ambian Sniper Rifle could be used as a melee weapon, allowing players to excel in close-quarters combat situati
With how popular Zero Build Mode has proven to be (as shown above via Gamesight ), and how many problems building has in Fortnite , it might seem strange for Epic Games to keep it around. However, despite its faults, it's still popular; some players enjoy building massive structures during their battle royale matches. Displeasing half the player base for one of its most successful games most likely wouldn't be a good move for Epic, so from a business standpoint, it makes sense. It's not likely that a Fortnite 2 would be made due to the nature of the Battle Pass system, so the company needs to keep Fortnite players happy if it wants to keep making money. Pleasing those who don't like building is also just as important. Whether it brought it back or did away with it for good, it wouldn't be fair to those who preferred one or the other. Zero Build Mode lets Fortnite be the best of both worlds by giving players options, in the same manner that the solo, duo, and team modes
The reason why Fortnite 's many crossovers are a problem is that they're taking away from the rest of the game. The main focus of Fortnite appears to be more on franchise crossovers and skin creation than on providing a consistently innovative service title. More resources should be devoted to making Fortnite more compelling as a game and not as an opportunity to plug-in existing IP. The game's original content has been neglected in favor of having it serve as a hub for every superhero and cartoon character to shoot at each other and floss dance. It cheapens both Fortnite Yellowjacket Starter Pack and the media that it crosses over with, and the game has arguably lost sight of what made it so special in the first pl
