There was nothing quite like getting together with your mates and farting in some uppity noble’s face. Let’s have our dogs antagonize everyone in the village while we taunt them from afar. I loved growing great big demon horns and knocking about Bowerstone with people cowering in fear, not because I was especially dangerous or murdery, but because they knew I was going to be as rude as humanly possible before revelling in their misfortune and legging it off to ruin someone else’s
Fable has an added layer of depth to it that many other similar RPGs didn't at the time: its morality system. In reality, the morality system at play here really only comes down to your character becoming good or evil, with some gray area in between. While it might not be as nuanced as the system employed in the Mass Effect series, Fable wants you to think about how your actions affect the world of Albion and its inhabita
The first sections of the game are pretty basic as far a WRPG shooters go with introducing the gameplay and characters, but it is still a bore and tends to drag for the first few hours. After a few more areas of the map open up and cooler guns unlock, the game starts to look more like the Borderlands fans have come to know and l
Buying a home in Fable is often on the back burner for many players, since it doesn't fall within the main questline. Aside from simply owning one of these homes, your can also spend more coin to upgrade its furnishings as well as adding trophies from your adventures across Albion. Keep in the back of your mind, then, the fact that you might want to save some of your money for a big purchase like this la
From major plot points to the plethora of side quests to customizing your quirky character, Fable encourages you to take the game one step at a time. In big RPGs like Fable ( the reboot is going to be something very special when it finally arrives ), the wealth of things to do can often be overwhelming at first. There is typically an inherent pressure to move the story forward. Don't be afraid, then, to step off the beaten path in order to experience this adventure the way you see
Following Hideo Kojima's messy split from Konami, Sony reached out to the legendary game designer to help fund a brand new project called Death Stranding . The bizarre Death Stranding earned mixed reviews at the time of its release, with not everyone completely sold on its unique gameplay mechanics, though Kojima believes that the game is the start of a brand new genre. While Death Stranding may be an acquired taste, it is undeniably one of the more significant games that ever released for the PS4. And if a Death Stranding sequel is in the works as rumored, the original being added to the PlayStation Plus Collection would help fans catch up on the st
Regardless of whether Fable is a reboot or a sequel , its success will likely require the game to strike a balance between the new and the old. It has been over a decade, and an entire console generation, since Fable 3 was released so fans will be eager to see a Fable game that brings back the aspects of the series that they know and love. Of course, there was a new Fable game in the works years ago known as Fable Legends , but many fans were not happy with it as it was too different from the rest of the series. While fans were waiting for another fantasy RPG, Fable Legends was a PvPvE asymmetrical dungeon crawler. Fable will have to make sure that it stays true enough to its roots; otherwise, Fable fans will likely be similarly disappointing for fans of the ser
Considered by many one of the most iconic indie RPGs ever, Undertale is deserving of the praise it receives as a truly wacky video game. Choices and dialogue options are the most engaging aspects of the game and players will often find themselves second guessing every option they cho
While Journey has since made its way to other platforms, the game was once PlayStation-exclusive , and one of the most critically-acclaimed games on the PS3. An enhanced port of Journey was released on the PlayStation 4 that upped the visuals and performance, making it the definitive way to experience the game. One of Journey 's most unique features is how it implements "co-op," and the further we get away from the release date, the less likely players will be able to experience that aspect of the game. Adding Journey to the PlayStation Plus Collection lineup could give its co-op a shot in the arm and help a new generation of gamers see what it's all ab
I agree that Fable 2 Recompile brings a distinctly single-player narrative experience to mind. Knocking the shit out of Lucien Fairfax is something you want to do on your own terms, in your own space. But despite Fable’s story being good, the best bits were always the parts you got to experience with other people. I didn’t start a new game very often because all I wanted to do was to stay massively overpowered and wreak havoc on Albion with my pals without having to worry about any repercussions. That being said, there eventually came a time and place where I thought, "you know what? Maybe three months of (literally) farting around Fable 2 is enou
