Best Zelda Games To Replay Before Tears Of The Kingdom's Release

Purah was certainly wise beyond her perceived years in BOTW . This is, of course, because she was not actually a child but rather 124 years old. However, Purah and Impa could change BOTW 2 through Purah's researched anti-aging abilities. Despite her being a child in BOTW , she is actually Impa's older sister and a scientist - director of the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab where she studies Sheikah technology. Her aging experiments did not become a major focus in BOTW , but should Nintendo choose to, her research could yet be an important plot point in Tears of the Kingd

While Princess Zelda finally managed to awaken her power and keep Hyrule safe until the Hero reawakened in BOTW , Tears of the Kingdom ’s trailers have thus far suggested that Zelda’s story is far from over. The latest trailer in particular shows two hieroglyphic images that appear to be Zelda, the second of which depicts her mirrored with a hidden figure. If Tears of the Kingdom truly is shifting its focus to Zelda’s story, then its title may indicate a reawakening of her power as the Goddess Hylia hers

There are a great many side quests that players probably miss in BOTW unless they're actively seeking them out, and some stand out as worse than most. " The Stolen Heirloom " and " The Thunder Helm ," for example, both require players to finish multiple other side quests before they can be completed. " Zora Stone Monuments " involves hunting down hard-to-find stone tablets scattered across Zora's Domain. Missing in Action has a quest giver that's very easy to overlook and sees players going up and down the cliffs of the Koukot Plateau canyon. " Under a Red Moon " is a particularly hard quest to complete, as players need to travel to a remote area to talk to Kass, then stand on a platform under a rare Blood Moon with nothing equipped. There are also others such as Rushroom Rush that require a great deal of farming in order to get materials that players may want to put towards other purpo

The story of Zelda follows the reincarnations of the Goddess and her Chosen Hero as they rise time and time again to protect their kingdom from Ganon’s malice. Their struggles to protect and wield the Triforce throughout Hyrule’s history give way to new legends in each era of the timeline, creating a centuries-long story spanning countless generations. Unfortunately, Link and Zelda’s frequent use of time travel has resulted in a deeply fractured and somewhat confusing timeline, making it difficult to figure out which games are most relevant to its overarching narrat

The bard, Kass, may not have been a great warrior helping Link defeat the Divine Beasts and Ganon himself, but Kass has earned his place in BOTW history with his songs recounting the tales of the Hero of Hyrule. Not only did he provide Link with Shrine quests, but he also taught Link, and the player, a good deal of history and lore in moving and meaningful ways. Tears of the Kingdom just wouldn't feel right without this minstrel's so

The Tears of the Kingdom trailer doesn't show much, but there is another two-headed dragon symbol. This one is different from the Ouroboros and is related to Mesoamerican cultures, which could have offered some inspiration to the design of the Zonai ruins in Breath of the Wild . Link pushes open a stone door that has a dragon with two heads meeting at the top instead of two dragons eating each other's tails. The two-headed dragon symbolizes two things in Mesoamerican culture; first is the power of the earth, but the second is calamit

EVERY Zelda Game Ranked from Worst to BestGanondorf is hands-down the most iconic Legend of Zelda villain in the entire series, returning again and again to face up with Link throughout the series' timeline. Zelda games are better when Ganondorf, not Ganon alone, are there, and although the series has done a good job over the years fleshing out the antagonist's backstory, he could still absolutely shine in his own game. The story could perhaps show the powerful King of Gerudo during his ruling era, struggling to provide for his people in the Gerudo Desert before taking a deeply evil turn. In addition to telling a fresh take on his story, Ganondorf's magical powers could provide interesting new Musou combat mechanics that switch up gamep

Prince Sidon is the prince of Zora, the son of King Dorephan, and Mipha's brother. He not only assisted Link in taking down a Divine Beast that was threatening Zora's Domain in BOTW , but also was a good friend to the Hylian hero and shared an emotional bond, in part because of Mipha. Sidon heavily grieves his sister's death and can be caught speaking to her statue, wishing she were there. The quests surrounding the Zora in BOTW focus heavily on her, and Link's adventure log reveals his feelings for Mipha , though fans had to sift through the Japanese version to get the bigger picture of this. Contemplating the events that may happen in Tears of the Kingdom it is easy to assume that Prince (or perhaps even King by this time) Sidon will join Link for at least a portion of the trials which he will face in this next chap
