Zelda Theory: Almost Every Game Is Between BOTW's Two Calamities

600In addition, since the hero in Breath of the Wild 's mural telling the story of that battle 10,000 years ago resembles Ganon, it's possible that he isn't the threat that emerged then and therefore not the main villain of Tears of the Kingdom if it does take place in that time. Instead, the damaged state of the Master Sword may point to the real antagonist: Demise, the villain of Skyward Sword , who was sealed within the sword, and whose hatred is the source of Ganon's Malice. In this case, Link, Zelda, and Ganon could all work together to bring down Demise, and Ganon may ultimately become corrupted by his Malice and go on to become Calamity Ganon. Like almost everything else about Breath of the Wild 's sequel, it may be pure speculation for now, but Demise returning in Tears of the Kingdom _ could be a great plot twist - one that can bring not only _BOTW but the entire Zelda series full circle - and a way to show Ganon as something other than a vill

With a new trailer revealing the name for **The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ** - the sequel to the hit Breath of the Wild - comes the possibility that the events of the game will see Link catapulted into the past, possibly as far back as 10,000 years. Though it's nothing more than a theory for now, there are some interesting new elements that may point to its veracity when taken together. Tears of the Kingdom 's newly-revealed release date of May 12, 2023 leaves plenty of time for more hints or even a full-blown reveal for this theory, along with further details about other aspects that have already been revealed such as a broken Master Sword in BOTW

If players have already completed everything they wanted to in Breath of the Wild and still wish to play the game before Tears of the Kingdom comes out, a good way to make it fun is to play through using custom challenges. Speedrunning is a big one, where players use tricks like wind bombing to finish BOTW as quickly as possible. Hearty food recipes for more hearts and gathering only a few good weapons and pieces of armor before the big boss fight are also good strategies to get a good run time. Players can strive to complete as many or as few objectives as they wish in a speedrun, but generally the only goal is to vanquish Ganon quic

The possible uses for Ocarina of Time's scrapped portals in Breath of the Wild 2 are plentiful. It is possible that they could be located in strict positions, such as denoted to specific spots in Hyrule Castle. However, one must also consider their potential mobility. If Link can harness their power in BOTW 2 __ and move them, they might provide quicker access to the far reaches of Hyrule that the player would otherwise have a harder time accessing. After all, it's unknown if Link will maintain all of his teleportation points from Breath of the Wild in its sequel. If not, these crystals could prove to be paramount in his journey to aid Zelda and reclaim Hyule from the Calamity. Perhaps Zelda will be playable in BOTW2 , and this is somehow involved with the port

In BOTW , Princess Zelda makes a similar pilgrimage to Hyrule’s three sacred springs with the same intention of awakening the divine power of her ancestors. Instead of accessing her power, however, she finds herself cursing Hylia and questioning why her lifetime of devotion has gone unacknowledged. In the end, however, Zelda’s power finally awakens as she saves Link’s life, allowing her to keep the Calamity at bay until Hylia’s Chosen Hero could reawaken from his restorative slumber a century la

The Zelda series’ heavy focus on time travel, time loops, and other chronometric mechanics have established plenty of canon ways for timeline traversal to occur within the plots of its games. It’s also not out of the question for Tears of the Kingdom to retrospectively focus on the Zelda timeline as Zelda’s journey could potentially allow her to recover memories of both her divinity and past lives. The latest trailer notably featured a heavy use of Ouroboros imagery as well, which could indicate that TOTK ’s story will focus on the past cycles of Hyrule - and the role that Hylia and her Chosen Hero have played throughout the kingdom’s hist

BOTW ’s developers have stated that the game takes place at the end of the Zelda timeline. While this leaves its exact placement ambiguous, Link’s lost memories suggest that he and the other characters are familiar with the timeline’s legends of old. Zelda distinctly references the Heroes of Sky, Time, Kirby minimalism and Twilight, and she and her fellow Champions are well aware that Link is the very same Hero reincarnated in their era. As such, it seems that the Triforce’s keepers in BOTW have some understanding of their place in the broader scale of this universe’s destiny, which places a lot of pressure on Zelda to succeed in unlocking her power before Ganon’s ret

The quests are the primary objectives in BOTW , and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to complete all of them. Half of the challenge is simply finding them all, since there's very little indication of who has a quest to give and who doesn't, and quest givers can be found in the most random and unexpected of places. Even after players manage to find all the quests, they still will need to put in quite a bit of legwork in order to complete them. Some particularly difficult quests involve gathering extremely rare ingredients, or facing off against enemies that can easily vanquish them if they're unprepared, or fulfilling incredibly specific or rare conditions. Whatever the reason, players can easily leave a few quests behind in even their most thorough of playthroughs, so it's worth doing a few sweeps of Hyrule before TOTK comes
