DecemberHow To Get Starchrom in Once Human
New players are likely to spend a lot of time farming copper and refining it into Copper Ingots , crafting ammo, and crafting weapons and tools to use for more resource farming. Luckily, once human halloween event 2025 Human rewards the players for all of this. Players can set up a smelter to refine all of their ore, head out on an adventure, and come back for free XP and new tools to cr
We can speculate on how Once Human will handle these seasonal wipes - as I understand it there’s new content introduced, new mobs, new zones, and so on - but until I see it in action, I will enjoy the game in this six-week chunk and judge it on this experience. That’s fine by me. It’s free-to-play. And I will play—for many, many more hours. Depending on how much is wiped when the first season rolls over, I may or may not be back for m
Once Human is a multiplayer open-world survival game , where players must scrap by to survive, face unique enemies, and take back their world. The map design is filled to the brim with content to engage with, while the general aesthetic is pretty immersive too. There's a lot to unpack in this game, something we couldn't truly do in our limited time with it. The combat flowed well, if not exactly something to write home about, but it did have a few unique qualities. Some enemies have mechanical elements they'll drop that we can then temporarily utilize like a weapon. That was a lot of fun. We worked on clearing an area, and we could have approached it stealthily. However, whenever we turned around, an enemy was behind us. There's a challenge to playing it this way, but it did seem viable at the very le
Another way that players can earn Starchrom is through participating in a Prime War . A Prime War is a public event that can be found on the map and will require players to defend a Staroid Restrainer from an Original Entity Kin . Activating the Staroid Restrainer and the Prime War event will require Staroid , which can be acquired through completing Commissions. Upon activation, everyone within the Prime War area will have a short amount of time to fortify the Staroid Restrainer before the Original Entity Kin arrives. Once the boss appears, players must defeat it while simultaneously defending the Staroid Restrainer.
While that might sound dull, I actually found myself caught up in this simple task. Once Human is a gorgeous-looking game, especially for a free-to-play title, and the environmental design is varied from location to location. There might be a ruined high school, a deserted factory, or a wealthy hillside town. It’s incredibly detailed for a game of this size. Shops have individual menu boards listing off cakes and drinks from a bygone time. There are arcades, factories full of defunct machinery, children’s bedrooms with eerie murals on the walls. You explore the entire world on your trusty motorcycle and glider. The only thing that would make this better is a grappling hook . Overall, this world feels lived in, or at least, previously lived in, before everyone was turned into a zom
Deviations are stored in a special Independent Secure Unit on your base. Just like any creature, Deviants have preferences that affect their mood and effectiveness. By providing them with things they like, such as Music, Flowers, Bright Lights, etc, you can keep them happy and efficient.
Another way to acquire a regular supply of Starchrom is by progressing through the Once Human Journey . The Journey is essentially a collection of different tasks that players can complete to obtain a series of rewards. Each task in a Journey yields its own rewards, but only by completing all the tasks within each Journey will players be able to claim Starchrom. Players can view their Journey tasks and claim Journey rewards by pressing the J key to open up the Journey menu.
Like most MMOs available nowadays, one of the most important tasks in Once Human is leveling up. Luckily, Once Human gives players plenty of opportunities for leveling up, with a huge variety of tasks and methods available to do
The branch you'll need to unlock the Rainwater Collection System is the Water Gathering Skill . You'll first need to unlock Cooking 101 to get access to this branch, so make sure you have enough Ciphers and Energy Links.
But with these myriad systems, no matter how good they might be, comes some confusion. I’m not entirely sure what kind of game Once Human is trying to be. The biggest factor in this is its seasonal wipes. These occur every six weeks. Most of your progress is erased, and you start back at the beginning, holding on to the blueprints you’ve acquired, any cosmetics you’ve earned, and maybe a few other items. This is where I think the game will really struggle. While I enjoyed exploring the map the first time, collecting chests and stuff, do I want to do this all over again? Absolutely
It's clear that the developers have thought of this with a similar design ethos to Rust and DayZ. Rust has seasonal wipes that constantly level the playing field, which is great for new and returning players alike. But in Rust everything is so temporary. In Once Human, it really feels like you make a mark on the world - you can decorate your house with bookcases, collect Pokemon, form alliances and groups. There’s a lot more effort involved here than in games like Rust. Resetting all your hardwork back to square one is an instant vibe-killer for me. Some players will love it. Others will hate
